BugBros Pest Control Journey
We were deeply contemplating these questions for ourselves, when our Director of Technology shared his sister’s story and the need there is in the community. The answer to those questions found us, and we hope that in this story, you too will be found by the answers.
“On June 8th 2015, just ten days before my son was born, my sister passed in a car crash, leaving young triplets behind. In the aftermath of that tragedy, I came to understand how great a need there was for support and advocacy for children who were without their greatest advocate. This started the chain of events that eventually led to BugBros Community Impact Initiative, in honor of Sara. In the few years BugBros has been Community Champions of the Care Portal, it has been at times heartbreaking, but it has also been more spiritually rewarding than anything I have ever done in my life.”

BugBros became a Community Champion of the Care Portal by the 111 Project. We went years afraid to advertise with the work we did in our community and poison the seeds we sew. And then Nehemiah Clark joined the team, and gave us new perspective.
You may know Nehemiah from MTV’s The Real World or from the many seasons of The Challenge. After hearing about our commitment to the 111 project, in 2025, he participated in the celebrity fundraiser Over the Edge Orlando, championing 111 Project as the charity he was raising money for and bringing attention to the platform.
Nehemiah helped us reach the understanding that the need of guiding other local businesses to join the cause warranted some mention. We are starting a business referral network for local businesses that share in our values and are active Community Champions of 111 Project’s Care Portal.
